Clinical Standards & Quality

The system behind the brand

Our franchise system is defined by documented standards, audited compliance, and structured training. This is what every licensed operator commits to.

Brand Standards

The brand is more than a name. Our brand standards define how the Erbil International Hospital identity is presented wherever it is licensed: the visual identity itself, the quality and accuracy of patient-facing materials, and the physical presentation of licensed facilities, from signage and wayfinding to the condition of public areas.

They also extend to people. Staff at licensed facilities are expected to meet defined standards of professional presentation, patient communication, and conduct, because a patient’s experience of the brand is shaped by every interaction.

Clinical Protocols

Our clinical protocols are evidence-based and cover the service lines within the franchise system, from emergency care to dialysis. Each protocol sets out the expected clinical pathway, documentation requirements, and the quality indicators against which practice is measured.

Protocols are reviewed annually against international best practice and current evidence. Where guidance changes, the protocols change, and licensed operators are trained on the revisions before they take effect.

Quality Audits

Compliance with our standards is not assumed; it is measured. Licensed operators are audited against a structured scoring methodology that covers clinical practice, quality management, brand presentation, and governance.

Operators must achieve a minimum compliance score of 75% to remain in good standing. Where an audit identifies shortfalls, a documented corrective action process applies, with defined timescales, follow-up review, and escalation where issues are not resolved.

Training

Every licensed operator completes a structured eight-module training programme before and during operation under the brand. The programme covers:

  • Clinical standards and protocols
  • Patient safety
  • Quality management systems
  • Brand and marketing standards
  • Anti-bribery and corruption compliance
  • Modern slavery awareness
  • Data protection
  • Audit readiness and corrective action

Accreditation Pathway

The franchise system is designed to prepare licensed operators for Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation. Our standards are mapped to internationally recognised accreditation requirements, so that an operator who meets our framework is building directly toward formal international accreditation.

Accreditation is a journey rather than a single event. Our audit cycles, corrective action processes, and annual protocol reviews are structured to keep licensed operators progressing along that pathway year on year.

Standards are only useful when they are applied
